Tonight there are 39 games on the slate with a lot to choose from. It’s the same scenario as yesterday with teams jostling for tournament positions and byes.
As I should’ve noted previously these picks are for entertainment purposes only and if you’re betting Central Connecticut State to cover the spread tonight (you should) you’re entering the age old arena of gambling, which means nothing is guaranteed. In this scenario you’re also gambling on a team of teenagers and 20-somethings that you’ve never seen before — did you know their mascot is the Blue Devils? These are kids that might’ve spent 7 hours on TikTok or slept in a bathtub the night before the game because their bunkmate was snoring. That being said, the algorithm SHOULD know a little bit more than you and we started off in the positive last night.
Best Bets for March 2nd
- Central Connecticut State +16.5 (model has the Blue Devils losing by only 14) *Additional note today is Ash Wednesday so I don’t know what betting on the Devils means there but could be bad juju for you and yours win or lose in this spot
- UAB -18 (model has them winning by 20)
- Clemson -8 (model has them winning by 10)
- If you’d like a parlay of these picks, odds go up to +644 but it’s safer play them straight
- I like Oklahoma State +4.5 and SIUE +3.5 as well
- (As this is an Arkansas leaning blog we’ll ignore the model having the Hogs in a 71-71 shootout with LSU, but it technically lines up with our best bets category with the line set at -5.5 and the model predicting a pickem. Over/Under is at 141 and model has 142 so we’re going to steer clear.)
- Hampton and High Point set at 138 model has it at 129 so hammer the under
- Central Connecticut at Bryant at 147.5 should go under with the model thinking 138
- George Mason at Davidson lines at 135 and model has it at closer to 146 so bet the over.
